I Am Generalizer

I am a generalizer. What is it? It is the opposite of a specialist. While being a generalizer has its merits, I am always wondering how it will be to specialize in something very specific.

2 problems -
The first one is what to specialize in? What will be the right niche for me to be better than others.
The second one is - am I going to be good enough?

I think that even if I was able to decide what I want to specialize in, I would have my doubts that I can actually be the go-to person. I lack the confidence to be that.

I got to a point in my life that I would like to become an expert at home, work and in Kung Fu.

  1. Hmm. Funny, I do see you as a specialist amongst the black belts. You are the one guy I can count on to have a feel for what is going on in the school and the guy who knows how to get things done. Your school engagement is your specialty and singles you out.

  2. I agree funny. In my eyes (and those of your family), you are an expert at home, work and kung fu... that being said, I am still the boss. ;-)
